Ayo, thankful for the opportunity to speak to the youth and school groups participating in the The Fold Festival’s spoken word showcase.

Youth are my favorite folks to perform for, I love trying to give them insight to embrace who their own and valuing their journeys.

The theme of the showcase is “When I Grow Up”. I am excited about curating my set with snapshots of the threads of adolescence to adulthood.

Thank you to Wild Woman for including me to share the stage with Afrakaren and Cece/Cedric Bustamente.

EVENT BLURB

In our annual teen spoken word showcase, three poets will take the mic and present incredible poetry. This event is geared towards high school students and will feature a Q&A with the poets!

This event is held at the Rose Theatre at 1 Theatre Ln in downtown Brampton. $5/person. Educators can book by phone (905 874 2844 Ext. 62803 or 62804) or they can email boxoffice@brampton.ca.
